Scholarship Form

The Society of Lake Management professionals (SLMP) is seeking applications for its annual Student Scholarship Award. SLMP intends to award $3,000 in scholarships to the successful applicant at the January 2019 SLMP Summit that will take place January 21- 23, 2019 in Memphis Tennessee. Scholarship funds are provided directly to the student and may be used by the recipient to cover costs associated with education and research expenses. Eligible applicants must be enrolled as full-time undergraduate or graduate students in an accredited college or university in the United States. Coursework or research in an area related to water quality, aquatic plant management, fisheries management, or aquatic ecology of impounded waters is required. Applications must be received no later than November 1, 2018 and will be evaluated based on relevant college GPA, quality and relevance of coursework or research, a proposed budget, information obtained from references, and other related considerations. The successful applicant will be required to attend the Summit in January 2019 and present an oral report on research activities.
